Author Guidelines

Details and Guidelines for Manuscript Submission

Authors must carefully follow these guidelines before submitting their manuscripts. Submissions that do not comply with these rules will be returned to the authors for revision, which may cause delays in the publication process.

A. General Requirements

  1. Word Count: Manuscripts must be between 3,000 and 6,000 words (excluding the title, abstract, and references).
  2. File Format: Submissions must be in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx). LaTeX files are NOT accepted.
  3. Language: Manuscripts can be written in English or Indonesian, following proper academic language standards.
  4. Writing Perspective: The manuscript must be written from an objective, third-person perspective (use terms such as "the author" or "the researcher", NOT "I" or "we").
  5. Submission System: All manuscripts must be submitted online through the journal's Online Journal System (OJS). Manuscripts submitted outside the OJS will not be considered.

B. Publication Ethics & Copyright

  1. Originality & Plagiarism: Manuscripts must be original works and must not have been previously published or be under consideration elsewhere.
    • The maximum allowable similarity index is 20% (excluding references).
    • All submissions will be screened using plagiarism detection software prior to peer review.
  2. Self-Citation: Authors may cite their previously published works to support an idea, provided that self-citations do not account for more than 20% of the total reference list.
  3. Copyright Agreement: As part of the submission process, authors are required to digitally sign the Author Guarantee and Transfer of Copyright Agreement via the OJS.

C. Manuscript Structure & Formatting Guidelines

  1. Title:
    • Concise, specific, and informative (between 10 and 15 words).
    • Must be written in Title Case (capitalize the first letter of each word except prepositions, conjunctions, and articles).
    • Must NOT be written in all capital letters (e.g., "Title of Chapter" is correct; "CHAPTER TITLE" is incorrect).
  2. Abstract & Keywords:
    • The abstract must be a single paragraph not exceeding 250 words.
    • It should clearly cover: Purpose, Design/methods/approach, Findings, Research implications/limitations, and Originality/value.
    • Include 3 to 7 relevant keywords.
  3. Manuscript Layout & Structure: Following the official journal template, the manuscript should be structured as follows:
    • Introduction: Research background, rationale, literature review, and main objectives.
    • Methods: Research design, target population/sample, data collection tools, and data analysis techniques.
    • Result: Clear, concise, and structured presentation of research findings.
    • Discussion: In-depth analysis interpreting the findings in relation to previous literature and theoretical frameworks.
    • Conclusion: Summary of main findings, practical implications, limitations, and future directions.
    • References: List of works directly cited within the article.
  4. Headings & Subheadings:
    • Headings and subheadings must NOT be numbered (e.g., use Introduction, NOT 1. Introduction).
  5. Figures & Tables:
    • A maximum of 20 figures/tables per manuscript.
    • Figures and tables should be placed directly within the main text near their first mention.
    • Figures must be high resolution (format .jpg or .png).
    • Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce any copyrighted material.
  6. Equations:
    • Equations should be typed directly into Microsoft Word using the Equation tool or MathType.
  7. Citations & References:
    • Manuscripts must include a minimum of 20 references (preferably from recent reputable journals published within the last 10 years).
    • All citations and references must strictly adhere to the APA Style 7th Edition.
    • The use of reference management software (e.g., Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote) is strongly recommended.
