About the Journal
Commentary: Journal of Hadith Studies is a peer-reviewed, open-access international journal published biannually in April and October. It serves as an academic forum for critical and innovative research in Hadith sciences. The journal highlights textual and hermeneutical approaches, specifically emphasizing classical and modern Hadith commentary (sharh) methodologies, textual comprehension (ma'na al-hadith), and contextualizing problematic narrations (mukhtalif/mushkil). Furthermore, it invites papers on critical approaches such as isnad and matn analysis, epistemological frameworks and sociocultural perspectives, including digital hadith and living hadith practices.
